Dave was born and raised in Calgary and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary. Dave has had a successful career in the oil and gas midstream business for over 35 years, building and developing top-tier private and public ventures during his career.
Since leaving his position as CEO of a major Canadian midstream entity, he has remained active in the business community. Dave has established new private entities in the oil and gas midstream sector and is involved in the development of a new hotel franchise which has locations across Canada.
Dave was instrumental in the development of the EDGE School for Athletes located in Calgary, and through his influence has established the EDGE High School as one of Canada’s leading educational facilities, which combines the pursuit of excellence in both education and sports. Dave continues to be involved with his high school, helping to fund capital projects supporting both the arts and sport facilities within the school. Dave is committed to the University of Calgary to further develop and improve its business curriculum through significant long term financial support.
Dave, through the Duckett Family Foundation, continues to contribute to the community through his support of many local and national charities. In 2015 and 2016, Dave co-chaired the Rockyview Invitational Golf Tournament which raised over $1 million/year for the Genitourinary Clinic at Rockyview General Hospital.
Ralph has had a long career in the Energy industry. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1980, Ralph joined Mobil Oil Canada in Calgary. His experience was initially in Finance and Administration, including 3 years in Mobil Canada’s Head Office in Toronto during the early days of Canadian East Coast exploration and development.
After deregulation of Canadian oil and gas prices in the mid-1980’s, Ralph took the opportunity to move into Mobil’s Marketing group. He transitioned through various Marketing activities including natural gas, NGL and crude oil sales and transportation. Prior to departing Mobil he was responsible for sourcing and transporting Canadian crude oil to Mobil Oil’s refinery in Joliet, Illinois, and as such was intimately familiar with refinery operations and economics.
Ralph chose to leave Mobil Oil in 1993 to join ELAN Energy, where, in addition to his sales and transportation activities, he initiated the development and construction of the ECHO Heavy Oil Pipeline system. ELAN was later acquired by Ranger Oil where Ralph assumed Marketing responsibility for the combined organization. With Ranger he gained experience in international Marketing activities in areas including the U.K. North Sea, offshore Angola, and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Ralph recently retired from Baytex Energy where he was instrumental in developing and growing Baytex’s Marketing activities.
Ralph and his wife Judy are currently living in Calgary and filling their free time with travel, golf and fitness.
Mr. Mike Shaikh has lived his life following his mantra (maxim) LEARN, EARN, RETURN. A respected member of the business community, he is perhaps first and foremost regarded as a humanitarian, tireless volunteer, philanthropist, community leader, and, an exceptionally proud citizen and ambassador of Alberta and Canada.
Among his many involvements, Mike is currently a Director of the Alberta Children’s Hospital; Chair of Education Matters; and, board member of various public and private companies as part of his professional career as a businessman, entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant.
Previous leadership roles included serving as Chair of Calgary Police Commission, and board member of the following organizations: Alberta Securities Commission; Canadian Air Transport Security Authority; University of Calgary; Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team; and, Canadian Association of Police Boards. In addition, he served as President of Kiwanis Club of Calgary and was a founding member of People For Progress Foundation, as well as Calgary Police Foundation.
Mike Shaikh continues to be highly active and engaged in both the business and broader not-for-profit communities. At the heart of his work is a deep commitment to doing what he personally can to help ensure Alberta continues to evolve as a prospering and caring society for all its people, including immigrants and the marginalized. Through this lens, his efforts continue to centre on the focus areas of public safety, medical research, education and mentorship.

Terrance Kutryk was President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Pipeline and prior to that had an extensive career at Husky Energy culminating as Senior Vice President, Midstream & Refined Products. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Board for Sultran Ltd., Pacific Coast Terminals Company Ltd. and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA). He is currently sits on the boards for Alberta WaterSMART Solutions and the University of Calgary Haskayne Centre for Advanced Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Petroleum Society of Canada, Canada Heavy Oil Association, CFA Institute and the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts.
Terrance holds Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Calgary, is a graduate of the Petroleum Land Management program at Mount Royal University and graduated with an ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds designations from the Investment Dealers Association of Canada.
Glenn Moore is President of VantEdge O&G Inc. and prior to this has extensive experience in the Midstream Oil & Gas sector with one of the largest Midstream Oil & Gas companies in North America. During Glenn’s time in the sector he worked in the logistics and commercial side of the business for approx. 15 years before finishing up in middle management. His time in this industry gave him the skill set to identify the gaps between technology and the current means by which business is done in the industry. This formed the basis for VantEdge to raise funds and begin work on these industry solutions.
Glenn graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 2002. He has lived and worked in South Korea, America, and Canada and continually uses the skills learned in these places to further develop ideas and needs in the Oil & Gas industry. Glenn grew up in the Calgary hockey system and continues to volunteers in the winter coaching and managing kids hockey in various communities. This is Glenn’s first Board Member placement.
